If you have the time
If you have the time please catch up on everything we have been upto lately. I had so much to post so please read all the following post from today. Enjoy!!!
Swinging with Daddy
We were so happy Charles was home today and he was able to hang up the swings that Kammy and Pops got the babies for their birthday. I was able to catch a break while Charles pushed the babies in the swings. We learned a lesson about swinging today, don't go right after lunch. Lucy Kate apparently has a weak stomach like her mother and she threw up everywhere and was pale. Needless to say she was finished swinging for the day.
Just for LeBonheur
I forgot to share the picture of all the gifts that everyone brought for LeBonheur. Instead of bringing gifts for Bryant and Lucy Kate we asked that everyone bring gifts to donate to LeBonheur. We had an amazing amount of gifts and we are so excited to be taking it to LeBonheur Friday. We have all the kids names signed in a card that will go with the gifts. I feel so honored to take these gifts in honor of Bryant and Lucy Kate and I thank everyone who brought gifts.
Lucy Kate in Action
Lucy Kate has been pulling up on anything she can get her hands on and I captured a few cute pictures. The cutest thing is when she pulls up on the window seal and watches what is going on outside. She was constantly in the window watching Jason and Charles work on the deck and she watched the dogs all the time. Her other favorite spot is the chair that Kammy and Pops gave her for Christmas. She climbs up, stands in the chair and then plops down, it is the cutest thing.
Johnson Candy Shop
The party of all parties was planned, prepared, and well enjoyed by all. It was the most perfect day, we had a great turnout and the babies were in great moods! Jennie and I prepared all the food, the candy shop was set up, Julie helped me with the sign, the babies outfits and bibs were ready and the house looked great! With everyone help and such a great group of kids the party was such a success and I am so thankful that I was able to celebrate such a special occasion in such a big way. I don't have many pictures to share at this point because I did not take any. Will Jacks was at the party and he captured every detail, so I will soon get a slideshow from him and a link to all the pictures. We used the birthday party as the 12 month session and we also had family pictures taken that day. Jacki Morgan made the cakes and they were so cute! Bryant and Lucy Kate had no trouble gobbling up the cake, so much that I was scared they would be sick. Lucky us it did not effect them and they are probable wishing they had more cake. I will soon share more pics as soon as they are ready.
Yes, Vernita and Emily gave them a sucker! I almost had a heart attack
They are waiting on the cakes
So GOOOOOOOD!!
He really ate the whole thing
She is about to pop
Spring Has Sprung
Nothing like a party to get you in action around your house. We were working like crazy around here in the yard and building a deck. We are usually able to get mulch by the trailer loads but it was not ready yet so I headed to Lowes for mulch and some plants. I was in my car and it was packed down, unable to see out of any windows or mirrors! I also had to pick up pillows my dear friend Landon made so they were cramped in the dash board. As for the deck, it turned out wonderfully!!! Charles and I have been wanting to build one for awhile and because his friend Jason volunteered to help we were able to get the goal accomplished. They worked on it for two weekends and finished it up the Friday before the big birthday party. After the deck was completed we worked on the pots for the porch and it was all completed. Needless to say we were exhausted before the birthday party even arrived.
Happy Birthday to Me
Me, Mary Evelyn, Jennie, Kate, Ginger, and Julie
I celebrated the big 2-7 this year! The birthday was lost in the mix as we had so much going on with the loss of my grandmother and planning for the babies birthday. We were able to go out and eat with Chris and Ginger and then the girls took me out for a birthday dinner celebration. I love these girls so much!
March 19th
I was able to blog that is was there birthday but to exhausted to do anything else. We just spent the day at home and waited for daddy to come home, so we could sing happy birthday and have cupcakes. They love cupcakes and again had no trouble eating all of it. As I went to bed that night I just could not believe they were actually a year old. I kept thinking it wasn't real since we had not had the party yet. Again, we thank God for Bryant and Lucy Kate each and every day. They bring so much joy to our lives and they are doing so well. God has really watched over these precious angels and we look forward to all the things He has in store for us.

Happy Birthday
It is so hard to believe that one year ago Bryant and Lucy Kate entered our world and things were forever changed. This past year has been full of so many emotions, from fear to pure joy and happiness. We are so thrilled to celebrate such a wonderful occasion and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. I will have more time to post tomorrow about the day so look for pictures tomorrow. I have to get some sleep before I pass out, too much going on these past two weeks and today was extremely busy!

Please Pray for Our Family
Today brought shocking news as we learned that my grandma passed away during the night. She was a wonderful woman who loved everyone she ever met. She lived a simple life in a small town where everyone knew her, she ate at the same little restaurants, was dedicated to her church and enjoyed watching the day through her big picture window. She has gone home to be with the Lord and as bad as it hurts we are forever grateful that we were able to know her and be loved by her. I am so thankful that she was able to spend time with Bryant and Lucy Kate and they will always here about there great grandma Lucille.
Yuck
Yuck is the perfect way to describe the past few days at our home. I awoke Sunday morning around 4 AM and new that something was wrong. As I lay in the bathroom floor to be close to the toilet I new I was about to be the next victim of the stomach flu, which has taken over Clarksdale. It hit at 5:15 AM and I would get about 30 minute break between times of severe sickness. I slept in the floor until the babies awoke and Charles went to take care of them, did not want to take a chance in getting Charles sick. I called me parents very early and my dad was over to help with the babies. My day was horrible and I was unable to keep anything down so this resulted in cold sweats, laying out on the bathroom floor, my thumbs turning in, and horrible cramps in my arms. It hurt so bad and Charles was trying to stretch my hands out, he called a nurse friend and she came and set me up with IV fluids. It made a huge difference and I was able to get some sleep. I am so thankful to my mom and dad, Charles and Vernita for taking care of the babies. I was able to function again today and I hope I never become that victim again! Now we pray that the babies do not get it.
Good Report
A few weeks ago, I took Bryant and Lucy Kate for a follow-up developmental evaluation from the NICU. The results were excellent and they scored at the appropriate age/adjusted age on most task. Bryant scored one month low in crawling because he has not started a the time of the evaluation, but the following week he started the army crawl! Expressive language skills should be a little more advanced at this point, but this is not a concern right now (i just happen to know a few people that could help me out in this area). The doctor was so impressed with them and made me feel so great about al the progress they have made. Lucy Kate started many things before Bryant but he is right on task now and they are doing all the same things. Army crawling all around, pulling up, talking, eating everything, and enjoying the good life! So happy I could share such great news with you guys.

My new thing!
Bryant and Lucy Kate's food is a huge priority to me at this point in there lives. I am very picky about what they eat and since I stay at home I feel a responsibility to make sure everything they eat is as good as it can be for them. Of course we take our daily vitamins and iron but I want to make sure what they eat has some nutritional value. I found a cook cookbook for babies and toddlers, the recipes are wonderful! I have made all of the things in this cookbook for their age range, so I am trying to find some more stuff. Starting out I did all the Gerber baby food and then began moving to the graduates and one day I decided to really start reading those labels and it is very disturbing. The manufacturers put so much junk in the stuff that all the healthy things are sucked out. It takes much longer to make out a grocery list and to do the shopping but I love knowing that what they put in there mouths is good for them! If anyone has any suggestions for healthy recipes or knows any websites about it please let me know. Some people think I am crazy for being so picky but hopefully this will help my children in the long run and they want be such picker eaters!
