We took all the gifts to LeBonheur and we appreciate all the birthday guest bringing these gifts! It was such an honor to take them and know how much they truly appreciate the donation. Hopefully we can continue this tradition for years to come.

Bryant and Lucy Kate's Ice Cream Parlor

All ready for the big Party!

I love to plan a party and I feel as though birthdays are very special. I have ideas for the next few years and this year was the Ice Cream Parlor with a little Mickey and Minnie mixed in. I was a little nervous during the week as the weather was calling for rain and the party was all outdoors. As much as I like to plan I did not have a plan B! Thursday the weather was looking better and the chance of rain was gone, I was so excited and the party went on as planned. The weather was beautiful and 70, tons of friends and family, lots of gifts for LeBonheur and a perfect backyard set up! We had the Ice Cream Parlor all set up and my sweet sister took care of all the ice cream orders and the kids could go down and pick what toppings they wanted. After everyone was comfortable playing we brought out the special guest, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Most of the kids just stared in amazement and some in fear, but some of them were thrilled! Bryant loved them and hung out with them the rest of the party. Lucy Kate was not to thrilled and latched on to anyone for dear life. I eventually got her close to them for pictures, but dressed up things are not for her. I am so thankful to my mom, dad, sister, and wonderful husband for putting up with all the stuff I wanted to do and making the party perfect. The day was such a success! I know they want remember all the trouble we went to but they will see the cute pictures one day and hopefully appreciate it. Guess it is time to start planning for next year!

Just a little birthday love

In a Flash

Everybody says that it goes by so fast and they are so right. Bryant and Lucy Kate turned 2 on March 19! It is unbelievable to me that they are already 2 and that they have only been part of our lives such a short time. I don't remember a time when they were not here and it wasn't all about them. They are both talking so much! Lucy Kate will say anything and puts words all together and Bryant is always talking, just a little hard to understand sometimes. They follow directions very well and love to help around the house. Helping with the laundry seems to be a favorite with both. Playing outside, watching Mickey Mouse, playdates, watching me cook, bath time, and time with Kammy and Papa D are some of their favorite things. Bryant loves anything to do with music and books and Lucy Kate is becoming very girly with her purses and dolls. Charles was working on their birthday so the three of us spent the day together. Went in to get them out of bed singing "Happy Birthday", had cinnamon rolls with candles for breakfast, lots of outside play, lunch at the country club and after naps played in the bounce 'round with Mary Mason, Stratton, Luke, John Andrew, and Rutledge. The perfect day and a good nights sleep for the the big birthday party.

Happy Birthday to Me

What a great weekend and a great day! Lots of family time Saturday and dinner out with Landon, Jennifer, Justin, and the kids. This was not specifically for my birthday just a great chance to get together. Sunday after nap we headed to Memphis to meet my parents and my sister for dinner. We had a hard time finding a good kid friendly place downtown and the two places we waned to eat were closed. We settled for Automatic Slims and it was okay, probable want pick it again but we had a great time. Charles brought my birthday cake and it was so perfect! I had tons of birthday wishes today and Charles sent some guys to work in the yard. I love to get the yard cleaned up so this was perfect! He also surprised me with two adirondack chairs which are perfect for our new backyard play area. Mom, Dad, and Emily surprised me with great gift, money! Turning 28 has been perfect and I feel so blessed. Can't wait to get together with the girls next week.
The family (Jeremy could not make it)
Is this not the cutest cake ever?
Just perfect!

Swing Swing Swing

Kammy and Papa D gave Lucy Kate and Bryant this great swing set for Christmas and we just planned on putting it up closer to spring. Jason, a great friend of ours came and put up the swing set. He spent two days building it and when he got to the last box two pieces were missing. We were so frustrated! He came back a couple of weekends ago and finished it up and it is perfect! Bryant and Lucy Kate love it and so does our neighbor Luke.

Turkey............Gobble Gobble

You here this often around our house as turkey season has started. Charles has been getting all ready and making turkey calls and of course telling the babies all about it. Opening morning Charles and Lee headed out and they each killed a turkey! They were so excited and we of course had to take some pics.

Lucy Kate has no fear as she grabs the turkey's head and says "gobble gobble"
