The Patch

This would be the eye patch Bryant is supposed to wear for 30 minutes each day. Just to remind you he is two and half and this has proven to be very difficult. Leave it to my parents to figure out how to make it work. Hopping around the house, itsy bitsy spider, piggy back rides and dancing. We were trying anything and we have had some success.

Family Time Texas Style

I just love when my aunt Dale and Uncle Sonny come to visit, wish they lived closer! Aunt Dale just completed radiation and we could not wait to celebrate. Emily painted this great sign "Kudos to your TaTas" and we had "boob"cake! Complete with pink and white balloons and a home cooked meal. It was a short visit but the kids had so much fun and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Mom's night out!

How great to have a night out. Landon got her hands on some great Sugarland tickets,
we made arrangements for the kids and off we went.
The concert was outside and it was so hot but worth it.
Thanks Landon!
Before the concert

How can you not love Sugarland

Lets just say it was a little hot!

Emma is 2 Months Old

Emma is such a blessing and it is hard to believe that she has only been around for 2 months. From 2 to 3 has been a big change and makes for very busy days. I am so thankful to have so much help from family and friends. Emma went for her 2 month check up and she weighs 10 pounds and is 22 inches long. She is on a pretty good schedule during the day and sleeps 7 to 8 hours at night, breastfeeding is such a success and she has adjusted well to being on the go all the time. (8-26-10)

Busted

Charles was in the shower, I was bathing Emma, and they were running around naked after bath time and this is where I caught them. Bryant was in first and Lucy Kate was trying to get in. They love anything that belongs to Emma!
Trying to decide which one

Good choice!

One of those weeks

This is Bailey our 11 year old basset hound, he was our first child. He does not get quite as much attention anymore and he is pretty grumpy but we still love him. He gets up with me in the mornings and I was trying to give him some love when I noticed I could not see his eye balls. Freaked and woke Charles up to check it out. The red part at the bottom of his eyes was stuck over the actual eye. Had to wait until 8 to call the vet and took him about an hour after that. His eyes remained this way most of the day. Not sure what the problem really was but came home with a very expensive "doggy bag" of meds! This was the start to an interesting week!

I know all children are curious and explore evereything but that doesn't mean it want make you crazy! I had been to the store and as I was trying to get things put away they snuck off with the gold bond powder. I realized they were both missing in action, which is never a good sign. I found them on my bed covered in the powder. I screamed like a crazy women, then just began laughing, grabbed the vaccum and began to vaccum them off. They thought this was hilarious!

The same day I walk in to get Lucy Kate from her nap and she has been coloring on my walls and all over the pak n play, but not with colors. She took her pull up off during nap time and used the contents to make her own master piece. I just started yelling and crying and took her straight to the tub. Unbelievable, she has never done anything like this and I was in shock. After 45 minutes of cleaning this up I was burn out!

End of Summer Fun

SO far behind on blogging but wanted to share pictures from an afternoon at the lake and Ann Marie's birthday party. We love to go to the lake and this was the first time Lucy Kate and Bryant have actually gotten in. Anna and Abby are so sweet and they kept them entertained.
Lucy Kate and Anna just a swingin
"Lets go guys"
Lucy Kate looking so serious with Abby
The things you do when you have older children.
It was a too hot for Emma so we did not stay long.
He is so funny and the look on his face shows his personality perfectly

An Update

Bryant
I just sigh sometimes when I think of all the crazy things he does everyday. He is a typical two and half year old boy that drives me CRAZY!!!! When he wakes in the morning you never know the exact nature of his mood. If he has been woken up by a crying baby or by his twin sister he is ill and already crying about the situation. If he woke on his own he is in a great mood and either jumping on his bed or laying at the door sticking his hands out and yelling "momma". He eats anything you put in front of him, loves to watch Mickey Mouse, count, sing, read, play in his room, play OUTDOORS (obsessed with it), and go naked! He brings so much joy to our life and his personality just gets better and better everyday. He is so tough and just keeps going no matter what. Because of this it makes discipline very difficult. He is not bothered by how many times he is spanked or sitting in timeout. He is not old enough to take things away so I am still trying to figure out how to get to this kid sometimes.

Lucy Kate
She is such a little princess and loves to boss everyone around. Her speech is so advanced and she can talk about anything with anyone. Some of the things she says just make us laugh and make me realize how much she really does listen. She wakes up in a mellow mood most mornings and usually talking about food. She loves to talk about snack and supper all day long but she really does not eat that much. Milk and green beans are her two favorite things and of course a butter sandwich(peanut butter). When we get ready in the mornings she must have her bow to get her day started properly (I just love this because the bigger the bow the better)! She loves to ask where everyone is and what everything is and usually ask each question about 10 times. As I am running around the house she just follows me asking "where daddy, where Kammy, where Johndrew(our neighbor) and so on. After this she begins pointing to everything and asking "what that?" rather she knows the answer or not. She is very interested in everything I do with Emma and ask tons of questions. She loves Mickey Mouse, talking, cleaning, calling daddy on the phone, going to wal-mart, and playing on the water slide. She is such a blessing and we are go grateful each and everyday.

Emma
She is 6 weeks old and growing so quickly. She is starting to hold her head up and smile at us sometimes. She has her own schedule that drives me nuts because each day is so different. I am going to give her about 3 more weeks of freedom and then it is scheduling time! She absolutely loves her DADDY and wants to be next to him all the time. Nursing is going great, she loves her swing and bouncy seat, but does not care for floor time. Bryant and Lucy Kate are beginning to show a lot of interest in her and want to love her a little too much. She will go for her two month checkup in a couple of weeks. In the meantime she will just be hanging out eating and sleeping.

...........As for Charles and I we are exhausted! We feel like everything we do is a mad dash and to be on time again would be a miracle. He is such a great husband and helps out so much. He will take Emma just to give me a break and spends so much time with Bryant and Lucy Kate. We have enjoyed him getting home early in the evenings but that will end soon. I have started back running to give myself some me time. I am so thankful for each and everyday with my wonderful family, but sometimes I just want to run away for a little peace and quite!!! Just a mom of three and I would not have it any other way!
