They had these jerseys at wal-mart and Charles wanted us to get them. The babies are too cute in them!

Too Much
Multi tasking is something I used to be very good at, but I seem to be loosing my touch! I was feeding the babies lunch and started making cranberry crunch muffin tops to freeze, they were finished, the muffins were cooking and my stomach began to rumble. I attempted to start fixing my lunch and I heard glass shatter at my feet. It was a lemonade picture in a million pieces shattered all over the kitchen floor. I was trying to grab my shoeless children and put them somewhere, best spot the pak-n-play. I got it cleaned up and the muffin tops out of the oven (without burning them). A little after two I finally sat down to eat lunch and Lucy Kate walks up with her mouth wide open, she ate most of it. Bryant found a pile of puke on the rug and put his hand in out and waved at me. My house is so clean but Bailey must of left this little present before he went out this morning and leave it to the kids to find it. Nap time could not have come soon enough!
This was the result of me trying to multi task with two children running around
The muffin tops were saved
Trapped until the mess was cleaned up
What Else
After many days of rain and being trapped in the house, Bryant and Lucy Kate went out to play with Charles while I did some cleaning. This was the result and of course I was freaking out because they were dirty!

Crazy
I decided to go back to work, I know sounds crazy! I was thinking about going back after Christmas but my old job called and they needed someone now, so I started yesterday. I am only working part-time and I set my hours, my boss is great and it gives me the opportunity to get out of the house. Vernita is able to keep the babies so there are no changes for them. I am so thankful I am able to do this and hopefully the guilt feeling will go away soon. Just wanted everyone to know I had joined the working force again!

Struggle
3 Years ago our lives were forever changed and the emotions I feel about it are indescribable. Not one day goes by that I don't replay those 22 weeks in my head and the events that played out in September of 06. Bryant Parks Johnson and Avery Parks Johnson were born, loved so greatly and then went home to be with the Lord. I will always want to know why, but even if I received the answer it would not change a thing and would not take all the pain away. It is hard because I have such limited memories to cherish and I just want everyone to remember. Sometimes I feel like my life has stopped and when I look around everyone else is still moving, I just want to scream!!! I feel so fortunate to be blessed with two healthy, beautiful, loving children and they bring so much joy to our lives. I know my pain would be so much greater if I was not able to enjoy the pleasures of parenthood and for that I am forever grateful. God is so amazing and we are not supposed to question, but human nature is so strong and I know I will always want to know why. Each year I begin to dread the month of September and I replay every moment in my mind, I plan for the flowers I will have at the church, I visit the cemetery a little more than usual, and my emotions are so strong. This year I used the grapevine cross that was given to me during the funeral and had flowers put on it. We hung it on the front of the podium and it was so perfect. The day is done and I am emotionally drained but I wanted to share this with you.

Toddlers Best Friend
I love this picture of Bryant in a stare off with Hutch. Bryant really wants the ball out of Hutch's mouth and Hutch is obsessed with this ball. He goes crazy over it and takes it with him all over the yard, he sometimes tries to eat with it in his mouth.
Brief Conversation with Poison Control
I can't remember what day it was this week but we had a little accident with bubbles and I was on the phone with poison control. Let me replay the event for you!
Begin to walk into den and see a greasy hand print on floor
First thought someone spit up
Further investigation finds Bryant covered in bubbles with some running down his face
Grab him run to sink to wash his mouth out
Think "it was only bubbles" check bottle and it states "not for human consumption"
Find phone and was so fumble fingered trying to call poison control could not get it to work
Run outside to see if Val is home, sprint to her house.
Throw Bryant at her and then remembered I have another child, oh crap!
Finally get the phone to work and this is the conversation
PC: Yes this is poison control how can I help you
Me: I have a 17 month old male about 25 pounds who has drank bubbles
PC: What is his name and date of birth
Me: Charles Bryant Johnson III, 3-19-08
PC: Yes and what is your concern
Me: He drank bubbles and the bottle says not for human consumption
PC: Yes mam, how much
Me: Not sure is was an 8oz bottle and it is all gone, some on the floor some on him and pretty sure he swallowed some
PC: How long was he alone ?
Me: I don't know 5 minutes, I am trying to cook......Look lady can he die from swallowing bubbles?
PC: I have never heard of anyone dying from drinking bubbles
Me: That is all I need to know
PC: It is made up of detergent and water, but do you know how many swallows he took
Me: I have no idea
PC: Can you estimate for me
Me: I have not idea, half the bottle
PC: So about how many swallows
Me: Oh my Lord, 15 (I want share what I was thinking b/c it is ugly)
PC: okay mam he will be fine just watch for vomiting and diarrhea, if this begins go to the emergency room.
Back over to Val's and all he had done was a little burping, never affected the child. Scared me to death and the time has come that I can not do anything else while they are awake. All eyes are on them every waking minute and it is wearing me out! Just had to share this funny event with everyone
