Pillow Pile

We had to get creative during all those rainy days, so we made a pillow pile. I was trying to find activities on the Internet to do and most of the things my kids are not ready for. Bryant still eats the crayons and paint would be a total disaster at this point, so we opted for pillows (easy cleanup and hours of fun).

Happy Birthday To Anderson

We celebrated Anderson's Birthday in Cleveland with balloons, a ball pit, and a bouncy thing. Heather was so smart and had it all set up in the man room so the kids would not destroy the house! This was the weekend after Anderson had his little accident, so you will see that he has some stitches in his head. He also got a riding toy and helmet and he wore the helmet for most of the party, which probable was a good thing for him! We love the Shorts and we were excited to celebrate Anderson's big day
.
Such a cute cake, by Jackie Morgan of course
We cleared out the big kids and they loved it!
Anderson (yes with the helmet) and Bryant waiting to join in
Taking a break in Anderson's new chair
You can kind of see the stitches in his head, poor baby!

My Little Rebels

They had these jerseys at wal-mart and Charles wanted us to get them. The babies are too cute in them!

Too Much

Multi tasking is something I used to be very good at, but I seem to be loosing my touch! I was feeding the babies lunch and started making cranberry crunch muffin tops to freeze, they were finished, the muffins were cooking and my stomach began to rumble. I attempted to start fixing my lunch and I heard glass shatter at my feet. It was a lemonade picture in a million pieces shattered all over the kitchen floor. I was trying to grab my shoeless children and put them somewhere, best spot the pak-n-play. I got it cleaned up and the muffin tops out of the oven (without burning them). A little after two I finally sat down to eat lunch and Lucy Kate walks up with her mouth wide open, she ate most of it. Bryant found a pile of puke on the rug and put his hand in out and waved at me. My house is so clean but Bailey must of left this little present before he went out this morning and leave it to the kids to find it. Nap time could not have come soon enough!
This was the result of me trying to multi task with two children running around
The muffin tops were saved
Trapped until the mess was cleaned up

What Else

After many days of rain and being trapped in the house, Bryant and Lucy Kate went out to play with Charles while I did some cleaning. This was the result and of course I was freaking out because they were dirty!

I guess he is finally getting to be a little boy

She stayed pretty clean!

I can just hear them saying "what now?"

Yes, he ate some of the mud!

Crazy

I decided to go back to work, I know sounds crazy! I was thinking about going back after Christmas but my old job called and they needed someone now, so I started yesterday. I am only working part-time and I set my hours, my boss is great and it gives me the opportunity to get out of the house. Vernita is able to keep the babies so there are no changes for them. I am so thankful I am able to do this and hopefully the guilt feeling will go away soon. Just wanted everyone to know I had joined the working force again!

Struggle

3 Years ago our lives were forever changed and the emotions I feel about it are indescribable. Not one day goes by that I don't replay those 22 weeks in my head and the events that played out in September of 06. Bryant Parks Johnson and Avery Parks Johnson were born, loved so greatly and then went home to be with the Lord. I will always want to know why, but even if I received the answer it would not change a thing and would not take all the pain away. It is hard because I have such limited memories to cherish and I just want everyone to remember. Sometimes I feel like my life has stopped and when I look around everyone else is still moving, I just want to scream!!! I feel so fortunate to be blessed with two healthy, beautiful, loving children and they bring so much joy to our lives. I know my pain would be so much greater if I was not able to enjoy the pleasures of parenthood and for that I am forever grateful. God is so amazing and we are not supposed to question, but human nature is so strong and I know I will always want to know why. Each year I begin to dread the month of September and I replay every moment in my mind, I plan for the flowers I will have at the church, I visit the cemetery a little more than usual, and my emotions are so strong. This year I used the grapevine cross that was given to me during the funeral and had flowers put on it. We hung it on the front of the podium and it was so perfect. The day is done and I am emotionally drained but I wanted to share this with you.
